I am a sophomore at the University of Connecticut. I am majoring in communications and journalism. I’m really excited to work with students again! I was born and raised in Connecticut and completed all of my schooling there. I have had a lot of writing experience in the past and am excited to share her knowledge with the students. In the future, I would like to be a news anchor covering global disasters and political news.
My favorite stories are fiction fantasy stories. I love reading about far away lands with magical characters. Sometimes a book can take you to a new place and I love that feeling. Fantasy books are great because you get to venture somewhere new every time you read one. You get to hear about interesting characters and their adventures to new and magical worlds. Sometimes it's nice to get a break from what's happening in the world, and fantasy books are a great way to do that.
When I first heard about Written Out Loud I just thought it was an amazing program. It teaches you skills for writing that can be applicable in and out of school. It teaches you how to work with others collaboratively and effectively, which is such an important skill. This program is great for anyone who wants to write in the future or wants to do something creative. I think it's a wonderful opportunity for students. Not to mention how awesome it is to have something published with your own name at such a young age!
