How to Enroll Using Alabama ESA Funds
Step 1: Confirm Your Scholarship Is Active
Log into your EMA (Education Market Assistant) account at StepUpForStudents.org and confirm:
- Your child has been awarded the scholarship
- You have accepted the scholarship in EMA
- Scholarship funds are available in your account
Florida scholarship funds are distributed quarterly.
Step 2: Request an Official Invoice
Before submitting a payment request, you must request an invoice from us.
Please complete the Scholarship Invoice Request Form.
Step 3: Submit the Invoice Through Your EMA Account
Once you receive your invoice:
- Log into your EMA account
- Select the option to pay a provider or submit an expense
- Upload your invoice
- Submit the request for review
Depending on your scholarship program, you may either approve payment directly through EMA or pay out of pocket and request reimbursement.
Step 4: Payment Review & Enrollment Confirmation
Step Up For Students will review the payment request.
Once the request is approved, our team will contact you with the next step to complete your child’s program registration and finalize enrollment.
